It's not Newtown, and it sure isn't Katoomba, but my bit of Annandale North has its own charm.

Well, I've been in my new place for a fortnight, & although I still haven't got pictures up, otherwise I am well & truly at home. Today I went to a big hardware store with a car-equipped friend & got 3 big bags of potting mix, a hose & some vegetable seedlings ready to start growing salad ingredients on my verandah. Inspiring music!

It's taken a while but I finally downloaded, sorted & uploaded my photos from Sydney's Chinese New Year Parade.

The Australia Day cars are up! There's only 20 of them, plus 4 of caravans out of about 80 photos I took. Very hard to get a good clear shot of a gorgeous car with other people milling round!

No real vintage cars here - these are mostly cars I have fond memories of driving, of knowing someone who drove them, or wishing I had them.

I've been back in the city for 3 days - in my favourite parts of the city - the harbour, Hyde Park, Newtown & Balmain, enjoying a mini holiday for Australia Day.
