update:
its the beginning of summer. nailed my finals, prepared for and performed in 3 concerts for the school of music in the last month alone;
1. a concert entirely of music by Poulenc, Organ Concerto en Sol minor (Organ with symphony) and Gloria (choir with symphony) all were amazing pieces and i feel lucky to be a part of it all.
2. Played at the Woodlands Mitchell Pavillion for all of the 4th graders in Conroe ISD. Fuckin fun as shit. the screams of the kids were so loud that all i heard was white noise. we played Darth Vader's theme, stars and stripes forever, a medly of songs from Pirates of the Carribean (very well-written stuff), and others
3. the same day as the kid's concert in the woodlands i had to rush back to school and help set up for the electronic music concert. im really luck to have come to this school right when i did, right when theyre starting up all these cool programs. this is the first year that they offer Electronic Music as an upper level theory course, in which we use computers to generate sounds or to manipulate samples. my teacher really liked me cuz i allready had a lot of experience with the programs we used in class. anyways, the concert contained one song from each student, and everyone's sounde really cool and unique.
