March 28th, 1983
I know last month I said I had to go and visit Dad, Michelle and Gemma soon, but I haven't gotten around to it yet, and I sort of feel horrible about it. I know I see Michelle basically every day at work (she's kind of hard to avoid seeing as how I have to walk past her desk to get to mine) and Dad a couple times a week at work, maybe (meeting in the cafeteria and whatnot), but it's not the same as going back to the house.
This weekend. Ali has a shift daytime on Saturday, and since I'm obviously going to be home, I think I'll take Tommy and head up there for a couple of hours.
Also, I dropped in on Mum the other night to pick Tommy up from her (we have our issues, but she loves being a grandmother) and, well. I knew Jason was moving in with her, but it's still weird to see another bloke making himself at home like that. I mean, he's nice and all, and it's obvious Mum cares about him, but she's shown the same affection to others in the past and nothing came out of it. I really hope this is different.
Mum also hasn't asked me about testing Portkeys in a long time now, and I pray that remains the same. I absolutely do not want to upset Ali.
Tomorrow is Friday, thank the gods. I think I've finally cleared my desk of parchment, but I just know there will be another pile of it waiting for me when I go in tomorrow morning.
I haven't heard any worrying things from my siblings in quite some time, so... keep it up, everyone. You're certainly making my job a bit easier. The again, you're all busy either trying to grow a kid, running around in a foreign country, doing whatever writers do and having the bloody time of their life by having an empty flat and a girlfriend to go along with it.
It's my turn to tackle supper tonight and... well. That will be interesting, considering my last endeavour. I'm not a huge fan of the 'burnt' flavour, and Tommy certainly made his displeasure known as well. Maybe I'll go ask him and see what he wants. Maybe he'll be smart and ask for sandwiches.
