Friday Dani came over to help me with evening chores, then she rode Odie while I rode Scooby. Scooby was being such a lazy goof, but after smacking him a few times on the butt for stopping to poop, we neded up with a really nice trot. I didn't want to work him too hard because neither of us had had that sort of exercise in almost a month.
After we finished, Laura came out to ride Julia. Dani let me ride Odie for a few minutes, the first time anyone else has ridden him besides her. He was really good for me the one way, but when I switched directions all he wanted to do was canter. I could get him down to a trot for a few strides before he would break again, it was so funny. He behaved himself, which is all Dani wanted.
While Laura was riding Julia, I hopped on Duke, just to get him used to having someone on his back. He came down for me right away, which made me extremely happy. I really hope I can show him this summer.
After we finished, I took a quick shower and then headed over to Dani's. Her, me, and her parents went to Randevous for dinner. Dani's sister and her sister's fiance' met us there. It was mostly talk about the upcoming wedding. I love her family, her father reminds me a lot of mine. They've sort of become my surrogate parents while I am here.
After dinner we went back to their house and played Pictionary. I've never played, so Dani and I lost terribly. But it was still extremely fun. After the game, Dani and I stayed up talking for a while. Saturday we had breakfast and then I came home to do absolutely nothing for the rest of the day. In the evening Scott and Laura went to Laura's work Christmas Party, so I had the house to myself for a while. I drank a whole bottle of wine to my face, chatted online with Justin, Paras, and Corey, and called my parents.
Sunday was spent napping, reading, working on my cross-stitch, watching football (boo Vikings! yay Jets!), and eating.
The farrier is coming tomorrow. The last time he was here, he was talking about a friend of his who is my age, and I guess Chuck wants to hook the two of us up. We'll have to see!
EDIT: I forgot to add that Saturday after I got back from Dani's I went to LaCrosse and bought a betta. The dog is fascinated with it, I think she has full intentions of eating it because I already caught her drinking out of its bowl a few hours after I broght it home.
