The Beginning of the End.
As a Braves fan, I am sad to say that John Schuerholz, the GM for the Braves for the past 17 years, is resigning.
Assistant Frank Wren will, most likely, be taking his place.
Manager Bobby Cox said he'll manage the team for at least another year, but it will be a year without Schuerholz.
Indeed a sad day in Braves Nation, but one we knew would come eventually.
The last 17 years have been an amazing ride.
EDIT: Thankfully, he'll stay on the team as the new president. Let's hope he keeps in being such an influential person for the team.
