Christmas Eve...
It's been a good day around here. Quiet for the most part. Which was a nice change. My girlfriend Leigh Ann dropped by this morning to leave her dog with us for the holiday. She and her husband are traveling to visit her parents and asked us to take care of Buddy for her. He's no problem to look after.
Dave, the kids and I decorated the sugar cookies I made yesterday. I went ahead and made the dressing (2 kinds) for tomorrow, and the broccoli rice casserole... and the sweet potato casseroles (2 kinds). That way I will only have to pop them in the oven tomorrow. Leaving just the turkey to fry... Easy enough. And set up. Not too bad.
The family is due at 2 pm. My father called and he will be here as well. He was released from rehab yesterday, so that was good. The mixing of families will be interesting... Its the holidays... lol.
All the kids stuff is ready to be put out. They just have to get into bed. The house is clean. It's all good.
