Too freakin cold to be thinking about getting on a motorcycle! Today is the first of the Christmas Toy Runs the local motorcycle groups do. This is the big one for Toys for Tots. Motorcyclists will come in from all over the state for this event. Its amazing to see. Last year there was well over 3,000 motorcycles!
I'm going to down to get our group organized and to act as cheerleader. The person I have rode with for the last 3 years has decided to leave the club and sell his bike. Right now, there aren't any empty seats available. I do have my motorcycle endorsement, so its not a huge problem. My step father has offered to loan me his bike. I just don't want my first long ride to be in the middle of 3,000 people. So I will get them on their way and then come back home for a while.
This afternoon, I have to attend another Memorial service. This time for a member's father. He's been very ill, so its not very surprising, but still... Tonight need to get organized for the week. Sunday is meeting day and work day at the clubhouse. Time for the election. President Jenni? We'll see.
Dave is leaving for a week away in Alabama Sunday as well. I am not too stressed about this, since things tend to run smoother when he is away. I am hoping to get the house finished decorated by the time he gets back.
Time to go freeze...
