jains!
you know, detention isn't so bad. i'm so excited about all of the horror movies that are going to be on tv this weekend. most of all, hocus pocus, which i'm almost positive i have never missed a showing of since i was seven. of course...that's not really horror. no, no it's not. well, i'll get to see some halloweens (maybe the first thirty will suffice) and such. we're watching tuesdays with morrie in my christian living class. i find it stupid. no school tomorrow, and i'm going to the gym. my essay for nyu still isn't done and- oh, look at that! the deadline's in several days. it's such a huge relief to find kerry supporters at my school. we're usually in hiding for fear of having 'you can't be a catholic and pro-kerry!' screamed at us (literally) and then being lynched by an angry mob. today in world religions we watched a video on hinduism, and i wonder if i was the only one holding back laughter when it talked about jains (pronounced jeins) and jainism. after seeing the grudge i resolved to look for suspicious-looking asian women in my pictures, but i haven't found any thus far. in closing- i know it's been over-talked about, but i think what happened to ashlee simpson is remarkably funny. don't you?
