Philly, here we come!!!

Wow, so today turned out to be a great day! Just when we were still struggling with housing for Philly (which btw, we leave on Saturday & still didn't have a place to stay!), something came thru for us! We thought we were going to have to get a hotel for the week, which definitely would've taken away from the whole "ASB feeling", but we don't! I had talked to this guy about staying in the rectory at his church, but he wanted to charge us $100 per person for the week, which would've been $800!!! Whoa, that's a lot for ASB to pay for since we didn't get all of our funding from the university this year! Plus, the guy seemed a little hesitant & didn't think we were a legit organization (which we've been a part of WMU for like 15 years!). So, we started calling hotels instead, and we found one that I was gunna book today. Well, as I'm driving home from work today, right before I was gunna come home & book that hotel, I get a phone call from the guy at the rectory, & he told me that he talked about the possibility of us staying at the rectory with other people at his church, and they decided to let us stay there for free since we're doing volunteer work! It's truly amazing! I totally didn't think this was going to work out at all! I mean, to go from making us pay $800 for the week to NOTHING...I'm speechless! We'll definitely leave a donation there though, since that's the nice thing to do. I mean, he's opening his doors for us! So needless to say, I'm so excited for Spring Break now!!! I can hardly wait to leave on Saturday!

Ok, so now that the huge stress of housing is off my shoulders, I feel like I can relax a little now. Except that I still have a midterm, 2 tests, & a 5-page paper to worry about before then. So I guess I better work on that for the rest of the night...it's gunna be a long one...
