I love you all, I really do, but this has got to stop.

I've listened, I really have, and I'm not seeing it. I'm not a goddess, I don't have any special powers, at least ones that aren't special to me. The growing things is just what I do; it's part of my world ( Read more... )

It's all right, Persephone. People are... whoever they believe themselves to be. If your heart tells you you're just a normal girl, then you are.

Someone gets it, finally.

And please tell me you're alright.

We can all be a little slow sometimes.

I'm...

...

Well, been better.

I'm not going to press you on the identity issues.

Do your powers still effect people, do you know?
[/Screened]

What are you looking to learn about them?

Thank you.

They haven't gone dangerously haywire since the tree incident, but I did manage to make flowers grow out of some eggs the other day. I'm not entirely sure how since, you know, eggs are devoid of soil.

Anything, though mostly on how to use one. Just in case and one seems more effective than the staff.

No need.

Some of the nutrients would be the same, though. And your power seems to bypass natural laws, in some respects.
[/Screened]

If you need to use lethal force, yeah. Has something happened?

Either way, I can teach you, if you want.

You mean the whole growing at incredible rates thing? I still don't think it's weird, but...

It's something I'm going to look into, to see if I can do it again. No harm, other than a waste of good eggs.

With some of the residents around, I'd like to be prepared. That's all.

...You will? Really?

Guns? [a pause] Has someone been threatening you?

Oh, no! Not since that one night, but... I'm looking into them as a precaution, really, just in case.

Then we have similar reasoning. If you'd like I can help out, the empty lot's always open for some practice.

You might say I know a few things~. What do you want to know?

[Typed] poppingseeds November 18 2008, 23:20:21 UTC
Well... I guess the different types, how they function, and, most importantly, how to fire one.

lady_bounty November 19 2008, 00:17:05 UTC
Different types... uh... heh, there's more different types of guns than you can count. The gun's got a long history. There's pistols, revolvers, rifles, shotguns, submachine guns, machine guns, miniguns, autocannons, artillery guns, tank guns... just to name a few classes. ...Not that any of that's likely to mean anything to you, if you don't know what a gun is. And based on what I'm seeing in your replies to people, it looks like guns are a new thing for you ( ... )

He has, I'm sorry! I wouldn't mind demonstrations from other people. I'm sure you all use different techniques?

That doesn't mean I don't want to hear about it, however. Guns don't exist in my world, but I suppose that's the downside to being from an older universe.

Let's see...guns, yeah. They're too quick.

Quick enough, in most cases.

Well, there's the point. See, once the 'recipient' gets the bullet, it's all over. You miss the whole show! Unless you shoot to incapacitate. Now which would an innocent young thing like yourself be using a gun for: to maim or to kill?

Telling you would just spoil the surprise, wouldn't it~?
