What were they thinking?!?!?

I can't stand it any longer!!! I have to vent! Does anyone else (besides me!) think that the pink Melodifestivalen arches in town look like globs of pink poop piled together??? Its the ugliest thing ever!!! Whoever came up with the idea and whoever approved its use should be fired! My goodness, I hope it doesn't get any air-time when the show is televised live from here.

In other news....My friend Rosi just emailed me that they have found out they are having a boy! Great for them! They already decided on a name, Sebastian. Cute ;-) I'll ask her if she went to another town to find out as its not allowed here in Skelleftea to find out the baby's sex. Maybe she was just lucky and saw it during an ultrasound exam.

I have my first barnmorska appointment tomorrow. I have classes from 8.30 am to 4pm, so I will have to skip my afternoon classes. The morning sickness hasn't gotten any better and its really affecting my work and school. I am in the process of finding out if I can take a leave of 2 weeks from school....just until my 12th week when this hopefully will be over. But with my luck, I don't think it will end there!

My sister called at 6am (I almost killed her). Apparently she had to take my dad to the ER at about 2am (Manila time) because he wasn't feeling well and his heart pulses were irregular. SO he was hooked up to all these kinds of monitor and it did show that he was having mis-beats and etc. So he's confined for observation but I think he's feeling a bit better.

Its frustrating because there is nothing they can do for him. He's already had a quadruple bypass in 1993 and at that time, they doctors had a really tough time finding good veins to use. He has diabetes, so this had affected his veins pretty badly. Now his heart is clogged up again and not functioning 100%. The doctors are not giving him any time frame but say he could go anytime. *sigh* I just hope he can wait until I have my baby so he could at least see and hold it. I plan to go home for xmas this year.

This is it for now...I have to read a lot for my Naturkunskap!
