wishes do come true...
so, earlier this week... i have to say it wasn't a great work week... one of the worst i've had in a while...
...because of that, in my facebook comments (those of you reading this in livejounal - if you haven't added me yet, what's the hold up here? really?), i wished that the power would go out and we wouldn't have to work.
as i was driving to work, near one of the busy intersections, there were lots of cops, a fire truck and lots of traffic. didn't know what was going on, but there was always nothing good happening at that intersection.
...i did notice a power line down.
i pulled into work, and power was still going.
drat.
as soon as i swipe my badge to get into the building from the garage....
WHOOSH!
you just heard everything shut down.
...the power went out.
i walked around to the front of the building where you can get in...
pitch dark...
everything was off.
you know, wishes do come true!
but, just as i was starting to play a movie ("shaun of the dead"... love that movie....) on my playstation portable and watch it with a friend, not even five minutes into the movie, the power turned back on.
next time, i just have to wish harder...
...but, it did make for an interesting day and kind of energized me the rest of the day... not just because it was friday, but it was a break from the normal routine which makes me want to throw the new printers we got off into the nearby waters...
anyway, now, time to relax for the weekend...
remember everyone, if you wish hard enough, it'll happen. heh!
