Help?
Anybody out there who reads this, I'm looking for any suggestions on how to meet / make friends in this area.
Most of the people here that are my age.... we don't share the same interests. I've put out some feelers on myspace / orkut and had no luck. I've looked on meetup and found nothing. I e-mailed some volunteer places and got bupkis. I even e-mailed singles group (of sorts, it's not for singles exclusively) and didn't hear back. I didn't find any martial arts places that I liked and I've not really found any place where I can find adult classes either (say an A+ certification class or something interesting).
I can always hop out to Chicago for a weekend and hang with some friends there, but I'd really like to find some locals, as I'm sure there are geeky types here, yet I'm very lost on just how to go about that.
Any help would be appreciated. Comment within or aim / phone / e-mail, too! Anybody that gives a suggestion that works .... I'll buy you cookies. Or something.
