looks like you're doing beef tips and noodles tonight to use up those spring onions, some of the beef (half of it? or less. sorry, I don't know what 500g looks like), and some potatoes to make it go further. This might even create leftovers to use another night. Make lots of gravy and you can use way more noodles than beef.
baked fish with the tomatoes and some of the frozen veggies over couscous is good too. The trick I think is to stretch out your proteins and fill everyone up on your rice, couscous, and noodles.
Kidney beans are not ideal for beans and rice, but that's just because I'm used to using lentils or black beans. They'll work, especially with the onion, garlic, ginger and spices. Do you have spices to make it kinda Indian? Coriander, turmeric, etc. Use some of that chili sauce too :)
The first poster mentioned what I always called "tuna noodle casserole". Like she said, noodles, veggies, can o' tuna, and I added a can of cream of mushroom (or celery, or whatever) but you could stir together some flour and butter over low heat and make a roux, then add milk and use that instead. I always topped it with crumbled potato chips to make a crust too. got any crackers? Good luck!

500grams is...17.6 ounces. And when I look at it, it's probably a bit less than that.

And yes I have those spices :) That sounds good too.
