the best job ever

Today was a wonderful day, mostly because of work. Yes, you read that correctly. I had a good day because of work. Maybe I should explain. (Actually, maybe I shouldn't, but I am going to anyway.)

Alright, to begin, I work selling planting flowers at a roadside stand. Fun business, let me tell you. I'm assistant manager of the lot, which basically means I run the stand for six hours a day, or at least pretend to, but actually end up calling my boss to come fix every little problem. Running the stand consists of moving flowers, watering flowers, cleaning flowers, and, most importantly, selling flowers.

Reasons I love my job:

1. Manual labor gives me time to think. and ache.

2. Customers. I love dumb people. I love dumb people who like to spend lots of money on flowers. my flowers.

3. I can get a tan, highlights, 'big guns', and money all at the same time.

4. THEY'RE FLOWERS! PRETTY FLOWERS!

5. My boss, who never stops talking. ever.

Ok, time to stop giving into the ADHD (I swear I took ridilin for years) and tell about why today was AMAZING.

I was able to do my FAVORITE task at work: water flowers... in the rain. This is a wonderful task because, not only does the waterer get to feel wet and cold, they also feel like they are truly accomplishing something. The waterer feels helpful and hypothermic. Definitely good times.

"In order that people may be happy in their work, these three things are needed: They must be fit for it. They must not do too much of it. And they must have a sense of success in it."
