So, do you want the short version or the long version? The long version? Too bad. Short it is.
1. I saw Harry and the Potters. (And Draco and the Malfoys.) In concert. In Ann Arbor. With Bridget and AG and Manisha. They did not have British accents. But that was okay because
2. As soon as I sat down on my seat on the plane a voice came over the loudspeaker saying "Did anyone drop a mobile on the jetty?" Oh British Airlines.
3. Upon arriving at the hostel (which may or may not have been incredibly shady in an incredibly shady district), I dropped my bags in an unsecure room (where things could easily have been stolen), and ran to the nearest phone booth to call my parents. The booth may or may not have reeked of urine and been covered in pictures of naked women, but whatever, I needed to talk.
4. Caitlin and I saw all of London in one afternoon, however it took us three hours the next morning to go through eight rooms in The British Museum. We saw lots of old rocks. Like from Egypt and Greece.
5. We backpacked (with full-size suitcases) across Cambridge like hardcore travellers. Or rather we were too cheap to pay cab fare from the rail station to the college, so we walked. And lugged our bags.
6. Meals are served Harry Potter style, with Dumbledore and magically appearing food and floating candles. (I missed Platform 9 & 3/4 at King's Cross.)
