Larissa's preschool has a "Mom's Day" every year at school where mothers come in and spend an hour with their kids in different stations.
It was so bittersweet knowing that Riss is about to leave this dear little preschool for good when this year is over. I'm not ready for this chickie to leave the nest.
Larissa was so excited for me to come in. The day before we were running errands and she spotted this dress that she is wearing in the pictures. She insisted that she had to have it for our "special day", so who was I to say no? When she got dressed she spent a good 20 minutes spinning around in front of the mirror and admiring herself.
The classroom was set up into small stations that we rotated through during our hour.
We decorated cookies....
And ate them....
We made a little candle holder out of a baby food jar and tissue paper.
We planted flowers and seeds and made sure they were nice and watered.
The whole class sang a couple of songs:
And each mom got a beautiful reproduction of a Pablo Picasso painting done by their child with an adorable survey inside.
What can I say? That girl knows me ;)
