Friday Five: HAPPY

Mar 07, 2014 15:18

Today it is 42 degrees out and I swear it feels like 75!  We are so used to Polar conditions around here, I'm afraid we're all going to spontaneously combust the day it hits a real 80 degrees.

42 is a good enough reason for feeling happy.  That - and it's Friday...which doesn't mean that much to me since weekends are essentially more work than the weekdays, but for a brief moment every Friday morning I still think, "It's Friday!"

1)  This is the most appropriately titled song ever.  It is really hard NOT to be happy when you hear this song.  Trust me on this one.  I still find this song a feel-good even though it's part of the movie "Despicable Me 2" which I have seen no fewer than 5.000 times.

2)  This story is crazy touching.  It's almost too good to be true, but it's things like this that make me feel like our world hasn't completely gone off the rails.

3)  This was on my Pinterest feed today and it totally made me smile...because it is TRUE.  And when WILL Chevron die???  Enough already!

4)  I didn't get hit up by a single Girl Scout this year which means I didn't get my hands on a single box of Girl Scout cookies.  This is probably a good thing since another awesome side effect of this insane winter has been that my body thinks it needs to hold on to every single calorie I ingest in the hopes of creating a solid layer of polar blubber for warmth.  No good.

I saw these at WalMart today and I had to test them out - strictly for the purposes of comparison, of course.

Not bad.  Not bad at all.  Especially those caramel-coconut ones.

5)  This is SO me - especially when it comes to Facebook.  People are funny....except when they are being very, very annoying.
