Summer Breeze....makes me feel fine....

May 26, 2004 02:04

I worked today. (technically yesterday. It's 2:30am)
I need a raise. And I need Rob and Ian to not give me so much shit. I cannot stick up for myself, or disagree with anything they say, because there's just no winning with them. They think they're the shit.
*rolls eyes*
I came home from work grumpy, but hopeful that we were going to see Shrek 2, but we're too broke. We did order Hungry Howie's pizza, so at least that was enjoyable. And my cat did amazingly cute things and I took pictures of her.
Gary and Brian are out taping up Gary's NEW and improved business cards. He bought printer ink today, specifically for that purpose, but it's good for me, because I can print out pictures. I promised my boss that I would print him out a few extra pictures of him and his fiancee.
*makes kissing-ass noise*
Hey, kissing a little ass never hurt in the workplace, right?
I"m in an 80s music mood. I've had a really mellow night. I should have been doing laundry all night, because I've been putting it off for days, but I took a cold shower (they feel so good!) and watched The Birdcage, and then some special on VH1 on Whitney Houston. Man is SHE fuqued up.
*giggles maniaclly*
Yeah, I've been a lazy bum, but I'm allowed. Because I said so. Granted, neither of us have clean laundry, but I can throw in a load or two before I have to work tomorrow. (today, whatever)
I"m going to make a "Summer CD". I'm going to find a bunch of songs that have the word Summer in them that are generally good summer songs and make myself a "Sunny" CD to jam to in my car. I have thought of a few, so far..
1) Summer Breeze by Seals and Crofts (I FUQUING LOVE THAT SONG!)
2) Summertime by Sublime
3) Summertime by DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince
4) Summer of 69 by Brian Adams (I love him, though he's dorky)
5) Boys of Summer by the Ataris
6) Summer Romance by Incubus
Can anyone think of any more? If you mention anything about the Beach Boys, I will be forced to hunt you down and kill you. I HATE the Beach Boys. For no apparent reason, really, their music just annoys me

I was thinking about my birthday today. It's in exactly 2 months and 2 days. 23 years old......feel like I'm falling into a black hole in the constellation of "old". No offence, people, but I'm feeling old. But I still want to have a party! We'll probably have a little joint barbecue with the neighbors like we did last year. Only last year I ate mushrooms. Probably none of that this year, unless someone wants to get me that special present!!
*nudge nudge wink wink*
They have killer sound equipment next door, and we blast the music and dance on the picnic table, even if it rains. Bob will cook me some veggie burgers, and Gary will get wasted. Who knows. I might even hoark in the bushes this year. It's not officially a party until Leara hoarks in the bushes. Go me! They'll hold me down and pour shots of Jack down my throat.....I can see it now. And it's funny, because the cops have never come to Tammy's house or our house during all of this. As long as we keep it to a dull roar around 10pm, we're good to go.
All I wanna know is..............WHO'S COMIN TO MY PARTY?
Miragi, you better come, dammit. You and Heath. I'll be expecting you.
Oh yeah.........getting all geared up for summer.. now if I could just drop about 20 lbs. that would be perfect! I need some new clothes, though. I have 2 pairs of shorts to my name, and I even hate wearing those...I wear skirts if it's blazing hot, or I sweat it out in jeans. I wish I could just to go the thrift stores with $100. I'd be a happy camper... Eh, someday. Probably after we get this damn house sold.
Speaking of which, still no word from that guy about the offer he was supposedly gonna put in. But I was true to myself and didn't get my hopes up about it, so now we're back to hoping and praying. We had a showing yesterday. Hooray. Starting to feel like we're damned to eternal hellfire in this place.
*shrugs*
I should probably get some shut eye.....

I love the Bugface.
