bostonpookie. Well it's been a couple of weeks but still so far I'm managing to be more frequent than I was in the past year. I hope everyone had a very Merry and Happy Holiday Season and a Happy New Year.
It's been relatively quiet in my neck of the woods - mostly spending time with family and helping out a lot with my niece and nephews.
Mostly I've been doing a lot of reading and knitting which suits me well enough but I susupect it'll begin to get tedious soon. I haven't had much more time on the computer than I did before since the MacBook is down right now and it looks like a trip to Apple Support is what it's going to need to get it back online and that requires money which I don't have at this time.
But I did spend a good chunk of Saturday evening with my father's computer updating my
Ravelry account adding a bunch of the knitting projects I completed for holiday presents - along with photos for a bunch of them - and projects I am working on. I don't tend to keep more than 3 or 4 projects on needles at any one time and most of them are small projects, hats, scarves, some stuffed animals for my nephews....those projects that get completed in 3 or 4 days with an hour or two of knitting at any given time. This way I don't get burnt out on knitting AND I get the gratification of accomplishing a project.
Since I have 2 more birthdays coming up (one nephew and a step-sister) in the next 30 days I have a couple more projects I'm going to be working on - one is already on needles (Le' Slouch) and another I am just about to get started on (a knit satchel in camouflage yarn for my Camo and army toys crazy nephew who is about to turn 9 in a week. Here's hoping the design I've mentally come up with will turn out as well as I hope it will..
Anyway I just wanted to shout out to folks that I'm still alive and well and knitting away so if anyone's interested in seeing what I've done you can check out the link above for my Ravelry projects page. The hat pictured in this post is one I made for my BIL N. who is currently splitting his time in NYC (where my sis and he own an apt. and she lives) and St. Kitts (where he's going to Vet School full-time and unfortunately he has no need for hand knit winter caps. Perhaps if this satchel turns out well for the R-man I'll whip another one like it up for him to use down in St. Kitts.
Let me know what y'all are up to - I try to check email every few days and since there's no way in the world I'm going to be able to go back and read 365+ days of posts for all of my friends I'm going to be for the most part clueless as to what's been going on unless you tell me (no ones fault but my own I know.)
