here's how bad I am at updating...
I got married! yay!

I've had a chance to tell many of you this through comments, emails, etc - but I realized I should make a more general announcement before inviting your all to our wedding...
In short: we registered as domestic partners on Jan 24 - 6 months later we were married on July 24. After all, it may not be legal to marry when we celebrate our first anniversary, which is when we invite you all to attend our wedding reception.
In that vein, I need your addresses in order to send you invitations.. please email me the information at pookafaye@yahoo.com I don't have an address for anyone so please please do send it.
In other news, Sil went back to work and is the happier for it.
I was spending the bulk of my time working on the house in Sac until I ended up with a very bloody finger - I have some nerve damage but am nearly well enough to return.
While I'm convalescing here I've been playing housewife - much bread has been baked, homemade granola bars enjoyed, etc.. Sadly the injury has prevented me from knitting - which has made stopping in to the yarn shops for the day not really an option. :(
