so who is Richard Scarry?
a couple of times in the last few days i have made reference to Richard Scarry to spiderpixie and my brother Chris. neither of them was aware of the children's books that he was responsible for. i remember it in the same mental pigeonhole as "where the wild things are", topsy and tim, meg and mogm and dr. seuss.
please tell me that other people remmeber him. i know i am not imagining him. even my brain is not scrambled enough to remember a gorilla (actually it might have been a baboon) that drives an enormous banana, or a worm which wears a hat and one boot that drives an apple.
