MOT blues
so the car went in for an MOT yesterday. i put it in the garage at 10.30 in the morning and didn't see it again until 5.30. they told me it would be ready by mid-lunchtime, which i have to say is a pretty imprescise and head-scratching time to be told. 5.30 seemed to be stretching the bounds a little.
however, it failed its test (of course) and is going to require somewhere in the region of £400 to get all fixed.
ouch!
i also have yet to pay for the road tax which is due on monday so we are looking at the best part of £500 to keep the damn thing moving. i love being mobile, but it is so expensive. i may just get it fixed up so i can sell it. and i relly have to get myself a new job because if i get a job in town, i won't need the car any more (though it would make it harder to visit people).
anyway, busy weekend coming up: dinner & a movie with elaine tonight, my nephew jonathan & sean's birthday tomorrow and vampire game on sunday. nice to still have a day off on monday as well to recover :)
