Hi, my name is Maggie and I'm addicted to procrastination. Why finish a short story when there's TV to watch, Civ 3 to play, and boyfriends to distract from their own work?
I actually do a lot of daily writing, but for my job. I'm assistant editor for a fun little magazine called mental_floss. But I really need to get my ass in gear as far as freelancing and fiction writing go. Which is, hopefully, where you all come in. I found the group via Kaybek's journal and I think it's a fabulous idea. I'm hoping I don't act like an idiot and slack off on this as well.
I've never been exactly clear on how long a fortnight is, but I'll probably just be lurking until June...I'm getting married in May and there's a cover story and a freelance article I have to finish before the 19th. But I am very excited about this and beginning in June I'm all over it.
