Happy New Year!

Wowza! I have not made a decent post in months. My graphics journal is getting more attention at the moment. Hope everyone had a good holiday season! :D

My Halloween/Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Year's Eve and Day were very enjoyable. I had to work most of the time, but I didn't mind so much. It just means more money haha! Also at work, I was promoted! Now instead of bagging groceries, I stock the produce area with packaged salads and fruit cups and things of that nature. It gives me more responsibilities because of checking the expiration dates, which sucks. It makes me a bit nervous that I'll end up messing up. The produce department is not as busy as the front-end, so that's a plus. I'm liking it so far!

School is going well too. I think I'm going to ditch majoring in Sociology, and switch to Accounting. I took a class last semester and I enjoyed it. Math comes easy to me, and accounting is just placing the right amounts in the right columns. I just have to make sure to meet with a counselor to keep me on the right path. :) I feel like I've been in school forever! I just want it to end! Ugh.

Anyway, I noticed on the homepage that there is a community called 50bookchallenge, and it gave me the idea to set a goal for myself on how many books I read this year. There is no way in hell I can finish fifty books in a year, so I'm setting my goal at twenty. It still seems a bit high, but it feels doable. At the moment, I started reading Good Omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman. It is awesome and a very amusing read. It's about Armageddon and how a demon and an angel work together to try and sway it. I'm not even done, but I would recommend it. :D

school, christmas, halloween, thanksgiving, 20 books in a year: 2012, books, good omens, work, new years
