It's really sad that I don't know when I last posted, or what I said! I think Facebook and my
craft blog are taking over a bit...
Also, I was in America for a week and a half. (It's funny how I call it "America" now, I used to take such pains to say "the States" for some such, but it's become a when in Rome sort of thing.)
The trip to America was good. The best part was seeing
shinyredtype and doing all the craziness that is NYC. And there was roller derby! And someone wants to make roller derby happen in Oxford, but there is no practice space. *sigh* And travel to London all the time would be a b*tch. Hm.
Um, and then we went to Rochester? for a week? and there was nothing to do?
OK, that's not entirely true, but I'd planned to make a trip to Toronto without really researching the transport options. It's only three and a half hours by car, but we couldn't take the car due to whicketty whack insurance stuff. We could've rented a car, but I didn't plan that, and what's the point when you're visiting a city? So the plan was to take the train, but it arrived at 7:30 in the evening and left at 9 in the morning and took five hours one-way. Toronto will have to wait for another visit. :P
I did get to spend a lot of time with my niece, which was pretty much the point of the trip. She is so cute! And she'd just started walking a tiny bit. N'awww. We'll be back at christmas and I know she'll keep forgetting me for a while until she's older and that's hard. :(
Otherwise I've just been kicking around here. School starts next week, which is a mixed bag...
