Well, I don't really feel like updating (I'm off to a great start, eh?), but I figured it was about time that I posted a real entry.

Yesterday I had Greek which was a lot of fun and then Sam and I went running. We were only (supposed to be) running for half an hour, but it was 100 degrees out (that's what my car thermometer said!) and it was just Hellish in general. Sam and my running skills have definitely deteriorated quite a bit. I don't see how people are supposed to get in shape for fall sports if it's 100 degrees outside all the time. Anyways after that I came home and finished Raise High the Roof Beam, Carpenters and Seymour - An Introduction by J.D. Salinger which was okay. I've now read all of Salinger's books, which gives me some sort of sense of accomplishment. Then I watched Gilmore Girls with my mom and then I probably just wasted a lot of time until 1:00 when I decided to go to bed.

Today I started and finished The Great Gatsby (by F. Scott Fitzgerald - I put this in parenthesis because I think everyone already knows that and I don't want to insult anyone's intelligence), which was really good and a really fast read. I started it because I figured I would be able to finish it before New Hampshire (I leave on Friday), but I meant to finish it tomorrow. Oh well, I can't pace myself. At around noon my dad and I walked down to Main Street and I got a reuben at a deli. It was amazingly good and I think reubens might be in my top three favorite foods (along with curly fries and Chinese dumplings of course). After I finish writing this I'll probably do some Greek homework (or I should, anyways) because I have Greek tomorrow and Jones thinks it's fun to give me a huge amount of homework and some Health homework because I've only done two chapters and summer is already half way over. Tonight I'm going to watch 2001: A Space Odyssey which I rented thanks to the lovely and amazing company of Netflix.

This morning I got a "job" offer from one of my mom's best friends who also happens to be an English professor at SUNY Geneseo. I would have to research 10 people and then write short 100-word descriptions about each of them by August 20th. She would give me $50, but it's for a college class so I feel sort of weird writing it because the people who would read this sheet thing I'm making would be 18 and I'm really not that great of a writer, in my opinion. Anyways, what do you guys think, should I do it?

By the way, Please Mr. Postman is the best (atleast early) Beatles song ever (I don't care that it's a cover) and everyone should listen to it (here's a link). It's definitely underrated and I think it should be given much more attention.
