So, I take a lot of online opinion polls.
Most of them are given to me by big online polling companies. But I'm also on Meijer's list.
Meijer just sent me one, asking where I shop most often for [13 different categories of items: photo, electronics, garden, automotive...etc]. I filled that page out.
Then it asked me to rank these 16 factors (price, selection, quality, store reputation, etc) for when I'm deciding where to shop for electronics. I filled that page out.
Then it asked me to rank these 16 factors (price, selection, quality, store reputation, etc) for when I'm deciding where to shop for photo. I filled that out in a sort of half-assed way; most of their factors don't enter into my calculus at all: deciding which matters less than which is a chore!
It made me go back and finish ranking them all.
Then it asked me to rank these 16 factors (price, selection, quality, store reputation, etc) for when I'm deciding where to shop for sporting goods.
I gave up. 16x13=208 value judgments. Too many.
