Laaaaaura! So I tagged Will the first time completely out of the blue, just completely drawn in by your gorgeous writing (no, really). It was such a wonderful and pleasant surprise to get such a great thread out of that first interaction between him and Ginny, omg. There’s just something about him that rubbed her the wrong way, enough to get more of her Gryffindor temper out, but not nearly enough to have her back down and now she views him as something as a challenge than someone she just dislikes. In fact, I was so intrigued by your characterization of him that I went out and bought the book - and I have read Cassandra Clare’s books before so I was familiar with the canon but not the character. And having your Will in mind as I read made the book so much more enjoyable. *___*

You have really, really got his character down. I love your narration for his thoughts and the walls he throws up in conversations. His voice is brilliant - there’s snark there, arrogance, and intelligence behind his words though he doesn’t always flaunt it, and there’s always that subtle mockingness that I just love to hate about him. And that’s another thing - you aren’t afraid to embrace his more unattractive qualities and Will is actually a tricky character to sympathise with and yet you do and it’s such an accomplishment as a writer, I think, that you make him so frustrating but so awesome to tag that I can’t help but keep coming back for more. Literally, he is so much fun to tag, and I love how accommodating you are as a player and backtagging threads forever - that one log we did with Will and Ginny during the pirate world plot? That was the first log I had ever finished in months and it sits up there on my top favourites list. I loved everything about that log, and how much - and how little - it said about Will’s character, augh, perfect. There’s such a fun dynamic between him and Ginny that I really, really enjoy writing because I don’t get to write Ginny in one of her irrational snappy tempers often, and that tends to happen with your Will, sob and it’s so great. I just wanted to thank you for that log and just threading in general because I love love love it and basically… hi, as you creep on me, I too shall creep on you. ♥

oh my gosh, this is the nicest thing to wake up to ever. I'm just sat here like
, no lie.

I'm really glad that you enjoy my writing because I actually worry constantly that it's really repetitive to read (I end up latching onto a word, and then reusing that word until I feel like it's in EVERY OTHER SENTENCE and somehow end up imagining that whoever I'm RPing with is just sat there like 'GEEZ, OKAY, DON'T YOU KNOW ANY OTHER WORDS?')

and lmao, I actually - like, before reading TID, I'd heard of Cassandra Clare, but I don't read fanfiction, so I hadn't actually read anything of hers, I just picked the book up on a whim and a 'I REALLY WANT SOMETHING TO READ' kind of thing, so I'm just. Really, really flattered that you went out and bought the book because of me ;;

I'm really happy you enjoyed the pirate log, too, as it's one of my favourites and - I'M RIDICULOUSLY SLOW AT TIMES, as you've probably gathered, so for me, it's completely lovely to come across someone who's as willing to backtag. I eternally battle between my never-ending flakiness, my timezone and work hours and jgkdl just thank you for being so willing to thread with me. ALTHOUGH speaking of that, I was really embarrassed about half way into the thread when I realised that the book I had Will mention was published after 1878. I swear, I had wikipedia open, I checked about five times, and still went 'YEAH, THAT'S TOTALLY A LATER DATE!' and. it wasn't.

but aaah I really don't know what to say YOU'RE SO LOVELY, ELLIE. and I will love Will and Ginny's dynamic forever and. carry on creeping. AND BE GLAD THAT YOU'RE ENJOYING IT ALL TOO.

I AM SO LATE forgive me 7thborn September 2 2011, 04:06:45 UTC
... sob well, Cassandra Clare is a special brand of... special. Though she does make for entertaining and quick reads over summer holidays. |D;;; And like I said, I enjoyed the book because I had all this depth from your William to put into that one, which sounds... sort of backwards, now that I think about it, but that's how it felt. >>

I REALLY REALLY ENJOYED THE PIRATE LOG. I look back to it sometimes because it's just like ...no one in the City has really infuriated Ginny quite so much so quickly and it is SO IMPRESSIVE, Will, sob I love it. And hush, I will backtag something for as long as I'm able, and I totally understand weird timezones and crazy schedules so really, never hesitate with me if you're tagging something late. I WILL HIT IT BACK. 8) And shh, I didn't even notice the book thing, it's totally fine. >>

OH PISH POSH YOU ARE LOVELIER, LAURA. Their crazy hilarious and snarky dynamic is my favourite and yes, creep forever. Do the creep.
