It's Official...
It will soon get to the point where people will not have a choice but to be happy for us. Remember folks... it's OUR house and whether you are helping because you want to or you feel as if you'd feel bad for saying no, it's a good, family and friends time.
Wifey and I have shared many experiences and high points (as well as low ponts) in our lives with many people. It seems lately that nobody wants to give an effort to do or say a good thing. So, to them I simply say... Have fun because I will.
We FINALLY closed on the house on Friday. Almost didn't happen as the mortgage broker tried to state a nearly $1000 mistake they made whcih would have been a deal breaker. As a result they sucked up the cost of their mistake and we signed the papers at about 3PM last Friday. The papers were then sent to the county courthouse where the seller's attorney was late and the bank got the check there extrememly late so the sale wasn't "complete" until about 8AM this morning.
Friday we went in, with permission from the seller's attorney after he late, to begin our work. Just cleaning and walls on the schedule for the few hours we were there. We took Pumpkin to get accustomed to the place too. She seems to like it.
