Riiight. SO my phone is more or less sorted now, after a lenghty recovery, incluiding my tenderly hair-dryering it for a long while before having it sent off to a shop somehwere to be opened up and dried. It is now beginning a new lease of freshly decorated life. Go phone! I would just like to take this oppurtunity to say what a hardy little thing my samsung is. Not only has it made it through three years of my constant throwing it all over the place, dropping it, scratching it, gnawing upon it, etc, travelling to many different countries and a night in a drain fuull of water, it has also come back to life. Get in there, phone.
Our weekend was pretty cool, we tried to just go aronud and find some nice places to eat/spend time in Chiangmai, and I think we did quite well. On Saturday we went in, got caught in a rainshower, but found somewhere very nice to eat. My food was FAAAR spicier than I gave it credit for, but it was very enjoyable. We sat down and wrote some postcards before going to the ChiangMai University Modern Art Gallery, which was quiite cool, some interesting work there that I will look into next time I think about it, but I left my umbrella there, which sucks a bit. Hopefulyl I'll get around to picking it up sometime, and sometime soon, as the rain is becomnig more and more frequent.
On Monday we went swimming with the assembly teacher, and Ajan Utai and his daughter. It was really cool, nice to do something vaguely active after so much laziness, we really want to try and make it a regular thing. I did some lengths and everything. I cant really remember hwo to swim well, which is a bit pants, but maybe with practise. We also went to an amaaazing fish restaurant, oooh man so good! If only it was slightly more on our way. We would be eating there A LOT. Yeah.
Chloe and I have branched out to pancakes and egg-fried rice in the kitchen, so as you can see, our culinary skills are ever expansive. I got worken up at a silly time this morning as there was a rani storm happening and it kept slamming my window shutter, but I couldn't be bothered to get out of my mosquito net, so I jsut went back to sleep. Good times.
Other than that, not a lot to say really, I think. Hope all is well where everyone else is, 11 weeks til I come home this monday just past. Love and such,
Hannah xxxxxx
