【 十六 】that we could leave behind

Jul 14, 2011 05:57

[ This is forward-dated to the 15th! For the past few days Japan would have been in stages 2, 3, and eventually getting to stage 4, today. Which is why he goes straight to the phones without even thinking. ]

...Everyone. This is Japan. I... have a few things I must say.... perhaps this is a bit late, but I did not feel compelled until now... [ ( Read more... )

[One of your cute little imoutos just watched you do all that. She stands in the doorway, giggling.]

Those are your secrets?

Chizuko-san heard all that?! [ N-NO CHIZUKO... NOT YOU...

he is sitting there curled up in a blanket and the moment he looks up at and sees you he looks hideously embarrassed and turns red at the realization and then ducks his head back inside ]

T-that's only the beginning! I have a lot more secrets than that, but if you stay here any longer I will be compelled to spill them out again! Vietnam-san was telling the truth by the way! I really am a pervert! But not the sort who will actually do anything inappropriate! However, there are often a lot of filthy thoughts in my mind and- uwah, no, do not, you stupid...! [ trying to slap some sense into himself ahahaha ]

[She is pulling as hard as she can on your hand now, full of concern.] Please stop hurting yourself! That kind of thing is natural for adults, right?

[ he can't even look her in the eye, he's too embarrassed- but he lets his hand be pulled because it's Chizuko ] Even if it is, I truly take it too far- ah, and with that out of the way, Chizuko-san, I care for you quite a bit, and that is only a secret because I am far too embarrassed to admit to having these sort of feelings for another person... Chizuko-san is both a little sister and a bit of a daughter to me, though I know she does not see me that way, and I think I really have been in this town for too long because of how well I have adapted to the role it has given me... and I am admitting to more secrets so I think it's better that I be left alone, but on the other hand I do like your company... ah, this is confusing and embarrassing..

[Chizuko gets a brilliant idea: She gathers up some bits of the blanket in her hand and is about to shove that into his mouth when he makes his second confession. Her expression softens.]

That is not shameful. I care for you too, even if you can never replace my adopted father, whom I love very much but is also the infamous-[Those bits of blanket go in her own mouth for...holy crap, she goes on with her muted confession for a whole two minutes, with a glare that says he will regret it if he tries to listen in. Eventually the flood ebbs though and she spits it out.] I'm sorry. Now your blanket has saliva on it...Shall I get you another one?

[ a pause as he watches that, silently, and doesn't listen ] It's fine. As I thought, Chizuko-san has quite a lot of secrets, as well... I respect that, and it isn't my business, so I won't ask of you to tell me what they are. Still, I would like you to know that I will accept you no matter what they might be, so if that is what you're worried about, then rest assured. Nothing will change what I said earlier.

[One thing Chizuko remembers is that Twenty Faces always gave everyone a job to do. That way noone ever felt useless and those who were brooding would become distracted and forget about things. She doesn't think it would be alright to tell Japan that she's a criminal, considering how law abiding he is, but she does want to ask him something.]

Ah, thank you. Actually I wanted to know if oniichan could help me with something?

[Seriously, can you resist that face?]

Absolutely. [ It's okay, Japan would do anything for you, Chizuko...even if you told him to shoot himself... ]

[ he looks a bit surprised and gives a bit of a blink, but nods ] Of course. It might be a bit difficult to understand them at first- but I will do my best. [ and use this as an excuse to show off to her lmfao ]

Thank you very much! I am very curious about the transmission of large amounts of data. In the year I left from there were very few such devices and they were much more primitive. Only the Americans had them...

It is no problem. That year would be Showa 29, right? ...I see. Ah, I remember it... it really explains quite a bit. Or rather, I should say that it makes a lot of sense that Chizuko-chan is from that time-

-san! Chizuko-san! Ah, what am I doing! How disrespectful of me, saying that out loud just because it's how I grew to think of it to myself inside my head! I-I apologize... I did not meant to say that...

[Oho, now she has you, oniichan.]

How does it make sense? I do not want to stick out.

It isn't a bad thing. ...I think I may actually like it. Having someone to remind me of the old times... there are both negative and positive aspects to the past, and with Chizuko-san, it brings me back to the good times. Perhaps it's strange- I would think that I would be reminded of a certain something I do not even want to think about instead... and yet it doesn't.

I'm glad then if I remind oniichan of the good times. I was afraid I might bring back memories of the war for you.
