it's not pathetic to completely give yourself to someone and take a chance on love. it was a great relationship and if it's meant to be, she'll find her way back to you. you know it's not anything you did; there's nothing you could have done better (we all know you treated that girl like gold). even though it's painful now, there were so many good times and she gave you four and a half years of happiness. i know that means nothing to you right now, and i know nothing is really making you feel better at this point, but just know that you have people that care about you. i know i'm not in physical proximity of you, but you have my number and can always use it (i mean it). you're doing a good job of keeping yourself busy and surrounding yourself with good people. keep it up. i know you'll be okay.
I'll be down south this week and I would love so much to see you. As little contact we've been in for the past couple years, I have always known I could count on you to still be you, and taken comfort in the consistency of you as a person and our friendship. You're one of the strongest people I've ever met and you will get through this.
