(no subject)
When I got my passport several weeks ago, my last name had an extra 'n' in it. I called and they told me to speedy-send it to the rewrite office. It should take 3 days plus mailing time. Ok, i didn't freak out.
Several days ago I started freaking out that it wasn't here. I called the national passport office several times and they told me to keep calling and checking and charged me new fees to have it overnight shipped to be here today (saturday). On friday night we called to check on more time - as instructed - and they told us it wasn't done and wouldn't be here until possibly tuesday.
My expensive plane ticket (about $1500) is for Monday afternoon.
Conclusion, my trip has been postponed indefinitely. This is the icing on the cake of all the crap that has happened this week.
