Yeah, I knew about that -- I just forgot to include it here, partially because I was thinking about the articles in hand and partially because I was trying to get this done before a meeting tomorrow.

Egypt is also a favorite place to outsource torture. This whole thing just disgusts me.

I find it pretty funny (and by funny I mean sad) that we laud ourselves for being so advanced and civilized. We are bringing down those barbaric terrorists. But lo and behold! We are using torture as a means to spread our civilization? Yeah that makes a load of sense. Hello America! You are now entering Hypocrisy, Population: Us.

Yes, we are the kind of nation that tortures, whether we like it or not. I'm not saying I support torture, I'm just saying that we've done it before and we'll do it again. Weren't the Japanese-American internment camps during WWII a form of torture? And these were American citizens who were singled out and made to live in deplorable conditions merely because they were of Japanese descent (not that I support torture for people who aren't American citizens, I'm just using this as an example of how the American government has tortured its own people before
