Yesterday was yet another bizarre Talbot (my house) tradition that I feel the need to mention because it is really funny. It was the last day of "mortals and fairies," which is weird and funny and hard to explain, but a week long; a mix between secret snowflakes and hazing. The last day is called Aloha Deck and all the first years participating had to spread out in the library and pretend to be having an orgasm, until we are all doing it together but in random places getting louder and louder, and then we "finish" together. Then we had to do the same thing in the campus center. It was really funny, and embarassing, but quite an adrenaline rush. And no one around us said anything about it, a few strange looks and that was it... only Smith.

But Smith may not be my home next year. I applied to Gallatin, and now I have to wait in uncertainty because I honestly don't even know my chances at all of getting in, so I don't know how to begin to speculate. And even if I get accepted, I don't know what I want to do. Smith is funny, but unnatural... unnatural in a good way? I don't even know what I mean or want anymore.
