Our elevators are sorely in need of a nervous breakdown
-- but may it happen and get fixed while I'm not in need of them.
We have two elevators in my building, both ancient. This afternoon, coming in from the Food Bank, I was waiting in front of the elevators to go up to my floor when I noticed that the "Up" arrow at the far left above the north elevator was lit, and so was the indicator light for the basement, "B," right next to it, and I thought, oh, hey, it's right here.
Suddenly they changed to the "Down" arrow and the light for the 7th floor right next to it at the far right of the indicators.
I did not change universes. I did not.
We've got a sick elevator.
