I look at what's happening in Japan, and how civilized and self-controlled the Japanese people are in the face of this horrendous catastrophe and its tragic aftermath, and am awed.
Then I think about how too many people in New Orleans behave in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, and the way so many Democratic yahoo shills and dupes and goons are behaving in Madison, Wisconsin right now, and I'm disgusted. We Americans do have our good points, but we sure have a lot of really bad ones, as well.
And by the way, has it occurred to any of the Republicans in Madison that the behavior of the Democrats and their followers in the public unions there, including the cops, may fall under such federal laws as those having to do with extortion? Sure looks like attempted extortion to me -- and that is a violation of federal law, the sort of thing that can get you sent to federal prison for years. Anybody listening out there? If so, call the FBI -- they just might have a case, and they aren't part of a union, since they're professionals. I think. I hope.
