Another month has gone, and once again, my faithful readers must put up with me taking stock of my accomplishments. I think I did very well with June's to-do list, and let me say that getting in touch with my Rochester and Nexus friends has been quite fun :) Ratio of tasks accomplished: 12.5 out of 17, or a success rate of 74%.
Of those things I failed to accomplish, I've made significant progress in most of them (with the exception of market-scouting in the Writer's Market, and scheduling a photo shoot). I would have finished FFX the other day, except I can't seem to get past the second-to-last boss. I fear my characters aren't strong enough to get past him (I've tried about 7 times by now, and all the online strategy guides recommend using spells and powers my characters don't have yet). I don't really have the time to go back and level up my characters some more, and in the interests of getting the game back to Tara, I might just give her the game back and buy a copy myself. I wouldn't mind, in a year or so, going through the game again. The story and art are excellent, and the gameplay is fun.
As for the doctor's appointment thing, I have found a Pittsburgh doctor, but unfortunately it's been taking a few weeks for my Albany doctor to get my medical records shipped, and I've done all I can to facilitate the process.
July is going to be hectic for me. I'll be making a couple of out-of-town trips, and probably working weird hours to make up my time. I also have to finish finding an apartment. I'm not going to bother posting a to-do list online for this month, therefore; I only have a few major things to get done, and their deadlines fall more in the middle of the month, and they're really mostly what I didn't get done last month. I don't really have a bunch of 'little' things to get done, and I think creative efforts will be put on hold in the interests of time-management. Wish me luck; I think I'm gonna need it.
In other random news, I seem to have spontaneously learned the Chinese Suicide trick that's been making life difficult for me. One day during lunch break, I pulled out the diabolo for a few minutes' practice, and all of a sudden the trick came easily and smoothly. Of course, I have to correct my hand position to make the finish smoother, but man...it was so weird. One day I didn't know it, and two days later I did.
Current Readings: some P.G. Wodehouse, and I'm finally sitting down to read Godel, Escher, Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid.
