Monday afternoon we received very sad news from my uncle, my grandfather (my mother’s step-father) passed away in his sleep Monday morning. We do not know many details other than his death was a surprise and very unexpected. One of his sons was visiting and he seemed fine. It breaks my heart that hard-working, honest people are suffering due to this horrible economy, high unemployment, and lay offs. My parents met a family of four whose sole breadwinner, the mother, lost her job months ago and cannot find work, the father is disabled and cannot find work, and along with their two teenage sons, lived out of their car ( Read more... )
