The Industrial Age is in it's death throes.
We are witnesses to the dawning Age of Information.
Intellectual property, trademark issues, censorship, media control -- these are important topics with long-lasting impact.
During her first year as mayor, Ms. Palin sought to ban unspecified books, going so far as to threathen the town librarian's job. (reported by LA Times, Anchorage News Daily, slate, Wall Street Journal, etc.)
Fortunately, she was unsuccessful, (because the town supported the librarian's stand)and yes, the incident took place in 1996.
Maybe she's learned her lesson. I'm not willing to take that chance.
Are you?
