Can anyone tell me WHY my fire red game says the save file has been deleted? It didn't do that when i first go the game, but the last few times I played I have gotten that message.

anyway to fix this or do i need to buy a new one?

ETA:

what comes after diamond and pearl in the anime? or have they not gotten that far yet?
