[Where it's cold, you can expect a Snover to be hanging out there. He just plods on over next to the bird, watching Mesprit skate around.]

Oh! Pink-hair-stranger should be careful.

[Of course not!]

Ah, so... Pink-hair-stranger is your Mama-family? You look very different.

[Nod-nod!]

Mama hatch Alto~! Alto have Daddy too~!

[To him, he doesn't know much about differences and such, though he knows the obvious visual difference. Childlike innocence is amazing like that.]

[He's not skating, but that's because he doubts that he'd have the coordination for it. Instead he's watching the people skating, his eye catching on the pink-haired girl that has fallen a few times. ...She looked like she was having fun, even after she fell... Kinda makes him want to try at least.]

[A fluffy and friendly Swablu, he is. Remaining perched on your head is always good.]

[...huh, you seem familiar even though I've never met you, small pink-haired girl. You must be a legendary.]

Your drawing technique... is inexperienced... [Hi there, ice skating jargon. also Uxie how can you say that you've never skated either]

[Legendary, she is. Olympic-worthy skater, she is not.

She tried a figure-eight... TRY is the key word. It looks like a cross between a snake and a B, but at least you got her attention! You're a legendary too, aren't ya?]

Ah, well... I've never really skated before, but I don't think it's that bad!

For a first time, then... you are doing quite well, Mesprit.

[already knowing your name probably gives him away. |D; ]

[Yes, that would, wouldn't it? What she senses from you feels a lot like...]

You... know me...? [Give her a second...] ...B-big-Brother? [Or at least one of them; she has a lot of relatives.]

[Alto might try the skating too, but the sweater, it feels so warm right now. How his Mama can handle the chill is beyond him.]

Alto warm in this~! [He lifts up a sleeve with a cotton wing, then spontaneously leaves it to rest on Slowking's head. Hope you don't mind that!] Alto new friend cold too~?

roamin_emotion January 3 2011, 03:41:19 UTC
[Aww, how cute. And that's another Psychic Pokemon there too! It's good to know that Alto's making friends!

Maybe she might skate over to see how they're doing... and Slowking might be able to tell that the sprite is actually a Pokemon.]

Oh, hi there!

[[OOC: Tag order: Slowking -> Alto -> Mesprit?]]

Have an N, Mesprit. ♥ centrifuged January 2 2011, 21:54:39 UTC
[Ah~! That actually looks rather fun - N hasn't exactly tried it before, especially as he usually finds himself doubtful of the thickness of the ice on small lakes like this, but since the island has provided skates, and the girl on the lake seems to be enjoying herself even when she falls...well! Something about her joy seems oddly infectious, and in the end, N really doesn't see why not. So, one adventure in skate-lacing and several moments of hesitation later, you have N joining you on the ice, Mesprit.

Well. He's...sorta joining you, given that people aren't usually used to compensating for there suddenly being no traction whatsoever and as a result he's not so much skating yet as he is pushing off gingerly from the side and flailing a bit as he tries to keep his balance, eventually sliding to a stop partway across and looking like the most accomplished person in the world for his effort, his face lightly flushed as he looks down at the ice ( ... )

[It's hard, ain't it?

Well, Mesprit takes a notice to this ice newbie, and decides that it might be fun to... give him a bit of a push. No, really. A PUSH FROM BEHIND.]

Here you go~! Now, just move your feet, almost like you're walking!

[Don't worry! She'll join you by holding your hand if you want.]

[You say that like she has an option! Haha...no, really, N will just be making an oddly frenzied, wide-eyed grab for her hand at the feeling of her moving around to his side after that push, though he doesn't drag her down in an attempt to get his balance; he...surprisingly has that, it's just more of a reassurance thing. Right? Right. Of course it is.

Yikes.

...that said, the "whee" tag on this entry is actually quite appropriate. It's sort of fun, really, once your mind wraps itself around the concept that no matter how slick the surface might be, it's still able to control your body well enough to not let you end up on your face.

K-Kinda shaky movement is go!]

Ah. Well, thank you.

[His tone is polite, though not insincerely so; he normally might have been a bit iffy about someone making contact with him like that, but he's actually feeling...pretty inexplicably content around her. But even without that odd, happy feeling he's getting, she seems...familiar, somehow. Not like most of the humans he speaks to - more like a friend ( ... )

[Aw, he won't drag her down; Mesprit has pretty good balance, so she might be able to help. Nothing wrong with assisting a new friend!

And yes, Whee is a very good word for times like this. The Island needs more of them.]

It's no problem! It's more fun when you're moving! [Smiles and laughter, that's all there is. As for the hand holding, the sprite doesn't mind! Better to have a back-up for when things go wrong... or to join you if you fall.

Yeah, and those tails of hers... they are still totally out there.]

Is this your first time skating too?
