Rotom is entirely sentient, and is therefore aware of what it is aiming at. While it is doubtful that it intentionally chose to aim at you this time, I may perhaps be so inclined to direct its next attack towards you.

Thankfully, he's part Grass, so the electricity doesn't hurt as much as it should, but as part Flying, it's still really ouch. Thankfully, Skymin's not paralyzed, and seems to get up just fine. His mood isn't improved when he says his arch frenemy though*
