[Gold had, at the first signs of her disappearance, thrown an absolute fit. He'd ended up thoroughly ruining the cleanness of the house looking for any sign of her. Silver had eventually clued him in on the very specific set of missing adventure cloths and he calmed down. Kris did this. He wasn't sure why he was so bugged by it...

He had news for her, so he figured it was about time to go a looking where he thought most likely. He'll start in the canyons but move on to the more open desert soon enough. Entei carried him and his passenger pretty quickly, and the six year old was all too happy to go for a ride with his brother]

Kris? Kris! [SPOTTED, and your isolation is ruined, Kris, sorry, have a lava dog running on up to ruin the tranquility of the place]

[Oh god, it's an Entei running in suddenly?! The Sudowoodo are absolutely terrified! To avoid being attacked, the Sudowoodo will- ... ... continue to pretend to be cacti. So scary! The Maractus, however, will scatter like sensible creatures.

For a moment, there will be a little wrinkle in her forehead and she'll frown at the sight of her study sample scattering. But, since it's Gold, she'll manage a smile for him.]

Hello, Gold... [She closes her notebook, slipping her pencil in the spiral binding. She stands up from her spot, brushing sand and dust off of herself.]

I figured I aughta find yah-- We're gonna be having a new roommate, whenever you get back. [He'll just smile and pull Ethan up on his shoulders, the kid wobbling uncertainly before latching onto Gold's head-- have a wave from the six year old, Kris]

H-hiya, Miss Kris... [wave wave with one hand, the other holding tightly onto Gold's hair]

[At first, Silver was reasonably fussy and worried. But after a little while to calm down, he... Decided to leave things as is. There was no sign of a struggle, so she pretty clearly left on her own free will. And it was definitely "left" and not "disappeared," because Gold and Silver would be gone too if the latter was the case. Besides, Kris can take care of herself.

When he starts idly wandering around the island and sees Kris studying... Some really interesting looking Sudowoodo and some Pokémon he doesn't recognize, it does surprise him, but more than that, it relieves him a little to see Kris so... At ease. He keeps quiet, flips out his Pokédex, and starts calmly approaching her, trying not to disrupt anything here and ruin things.]

[It would be hard to disrupt the Sudowoodo. Hardly anything will convince them to drop the act when they're imitating a tree- or, in this instance, a cactus. The Maractus will continue to shamelessly wiggle about.

Without looking up from her sketch, Kris serenely greets him.]

Hello, Silver...

[Nodding as a greeting. Hey, Kris.] Is this where you've been all week? [It's just a calm question. ...Come on, Pokédex, tell him about the wiggling things.]

Yes. I've been doing some research... [The happiest sigh! It's been too long since she's just disappeared into a world of science.]

[Leaf clearly doesn't live with Kris, but she does wander around the island fairly often. Which means she spots Kris out in the middle of the desert.

Normally Leaf would just turn away, but... Kris, you look kind of awful, even if you are smiling.]

... How long have you been out here?

[She's certainly a far cry from her normal immaculate self, isn't she? Kris looks up from her sketch.]

Hm? Oh- hello, Leaf. [She taps her chin with a finger, looking thoughtful.] Hmm... I'm not really sure. A week or so, maybe?...

... Gold's probably worried about you. [How can't you keep track of time? ... Well, you're absorbed in your work, she can understand that, but it still seems odd, at least to Leaf.

And yes, you do look awful, but that's not something Leaf generally brings up.]

Oh, my. [She bends her head back down to her notebook.] I suppose I'll have to call him sometime...

[Brendan had been enjoying a bike ride on the flatter sands of the desert; his water bottle emptied quickly, though, so when Skarmory overhead signals an oasis, he wastes no time cycling over to it.

WHOOP A DUNE-- Oh. Wait. There's a person down there. And-- holy pedal straps, what kinda Pokémon are those?!

SLOWING DOOOOOOOOOOOWN please don't scatter too much sand, brendan

[B-but her perfect research scene... well, at least the Sudowoodo are still hanging around.]

[Those are some reeeaaaally convincing cacti impressions ya got there, Sudowoodo.]

No no, sorry sorry. My bad. Uhh, I didn't expect anyone down here, ya know... Sorry! Didn't mean to interrupt! [shajdfjf!! (Skarmory, who has since landed by the water, looks embarrassed for his master.)]

Is... there anything I can do to make up for scattering 'em? Will they come back if I'm quiet?

[She stands up, brushing sand off of herself.] Hello, it's nice to meet you... my name is Kris. How do you do?

[You aren't the only one who is out here, Kris. About 50 yards away, there is Diamond, who is also observing these Sudowoodo! They really are quite fascinating... Laying flat against one of the sand dunes, he's observing a cluster of Sudowoodo, holding a pair of binoculars in one hand, while his free hand blindly takes notes on a nearby notebook.]

[Kris isn't watching for other observers: she's tidying up her notes. After five days of observation, it's time for some more... hands-on research. Kris serenely approaches the cluster of Sudowoodo, twisting open the cap of her canteen.]

[Oh, it's Miss Crystal. Diamond scoots forward a little closer now as he observes what she's about to do. Could she possibly be planning on watering the Sudowoodo?]
