Meanwhile, Lottie was preparing to go inside of the cave itself, but her eyes caught a hold of something else. She approached slowly, her pace getting much faster when she thought she saw someone she knew.]
Hey, Roxanne! What are you doing here?
[With her attention caught, Roxanne turns to face Lottie, her free hand flicking a pigtail slightly.]
Ah, Lottie. I'm researching more about the Pokemon here on this unsteady wasteland. What about yourself?
[Lottie grins, just a little.] I was actually coming here to train my Pokemon a bit! I didn't expect you to be here~ [She chuckles after saying that, beginning to climb the terrain to meet with Roxanne properly.
Partly because of instinct and partly because of politeness, the Rustboro Gym Leader makes moves to meet the other girl halfway.]
How else am I meant to maintain my status as an honor student with rarely rivaled intelligence?
[Despite that statement of arrogance there is a lilt of light-heartedness tainted in it, a small smile evident on Roxanne's face as she carefully edges nearer to Lottie, holding out a hand for the other girl to take if needed be. The area is rough and rocky, after all.]
That's very true! But you know, that's not the only thing you're unrivaled in~ [Lottie's almost there! Just got one rock to climb, and she'll be on somewhat safer ground. She's just going to be pulling herself up, with a little help from meeting halfway.] Ah, much better~

[Roxanne's words trail off and leave her. She was going to make a proclamation about what was spoken to her, only to discover that for some reason the hand that she offered to Lottie ended up taking the latters for a second time, on its own accord.
Before she could protest, a letter instantly manifests in both Roxanne and Lottie's free hands, causing the former to drop her book in surprise. Without a moment's pause. Roxanne goes to read what has been inscribed;]
Hmph, just when I thought that the island's activity in executing absurd actions had dwindled.
[Lottie sneaks a look at the letter too, but she's far from angry with it. If anything, she's pleased. Though, due to Roxanne's apparent upsetness...] I can't say I'm surprised at all, but hey! It's better than being clamped to a random person, right? [She smiles~]

1) Your characters will find themselves holding hands with everyone they speak to after a short period of time, with the letter SUDDENLY APPEARING TO BOTH PEOPLE/POKEMON/NUKES as soon as those hands are connected.
2) It may say "a few hours", but the effect can last however long you want it to. An hour, five, twenty, a day, a week...
