[Cress seems to frequently end up in embarrassing situations thanks to the Island, he's beginning to notice. Unfortunately, this one is somewhat self-inflicted, so he can't really complain ( Read more... )

[Well, water types are always quite odd. That aside, another blue haired boy is checking out the library today. Apparently they allow Pokemon in here, so his are just all around. Milotic is the first to notice the other fishes; especially one of her own kind. Interesting bunch...

Marina sees Panpour on one of the shelves, and goes onto another one to greet the monkey! As for Jellicent and Beheeyem, they stay by their master as he plucks a book about psychic Pokemon off a shelf. He sees a familiar patch of blue hair though, and walks nearby, along with noticing Milotic greeting the other fishes.]

Good minds seem to think alike, yes?

[Some of them are certainly... unique.

Feebas flops once, then flips itself upright to stare at the Milotic. It greets the bigger Pokemon happily, causing its trainer to look up from his book. Panpour waves to Marina.]

Yes, that often seems to be the case. [He notes the Simipour- though he's not aware that they share another member of the same evolutionary family.]

[Milotic happily greets the smaller Feebas with a smile; it's been so long sense she's seen another of her kind, and it's very nice to see someone wanting to take care of one of them~]

Reading on these little ones, are you? [He notes the Magikarp and Finneon with a sense of curiosity, but he smiles when he sees Feebas.] A lovely array, I will certainly say that.

[It floats into the air, as high as it can manage, and starts flitting in excited loops around Milotic. The Finneon has also righted itself to watch curiously.]

...Yes. [No point in hiding it from another him, albeit one who is apparently a little different. At the "lovely" comment, Cress just has to turn and glance at Feebas.] Thank you, though I must say that yours are lovelier. Your Panpour has evolved?

[Amber isn't a very social person. He tends to avoid crowded areas full of people. About the only exception to this is the pseudo-library the island has. He's been taking time out of his day to visit every so often - mostly because he's familiarizing himself with Pokemon from Sinnoh and Unova. These books are great for that - and they also give a good idea of just what types some of these strange things are.]

[Today he's researching his favorite types - Bugs. Amber doesn't even notice that there's someone else already sitting down until he spies the monkey. In fact, that causes him to halt right there and stare at it for a moment. What is that thing.]

[He glances around for a trainer, and finally spots Cress.] Is that yours? [He tips his head in the monkey's direction.] What is it? [The Bugs are forgotten for the moment - this is far more fascinating.]

[Cress looks up and nods in response to the first question, subtly closing his books and lowering them. The monkey thing waves at Amber when indicated.]

Him, sir? He's a Panpour.

[A... Panpour. Well that's... Okay, no, it still looks ridiculous.]

[Amber's attention is then drawn to the fish Pokemon lying on the table. He looks at the three curiously for a moment.] No Carvanha? [They aren't exactly the first pick of trainers thanks to their Rough Skin, but Ark's Sharpedo is actually decent.] Interesting choices. Training Water-types?

[Ridiculous, but at least it seems like a happy creature. It goes back to playing on the shelves.]

Afraid not. This Cress simply caught the ones he managed to find. [And could beat up himself well enough to stuff them into Pokeballs. The red one didn't even require any effort, so he doesn't have high hopes for it. Not that he's really expecting greatness from any of these things.] And yes, he has been recently thinking of expanding his team as a pastime.

[After talking to one of the Silvers a while ago who had Pokémon she didn't know, that monkey over there has caught her attention. She gives it a look for at least a few seconds before noticing their trainer.]

Ah...what is that Pokémon good sir?

[The monkey will be happy to wave at the girl if she catches its attention.]

Him, miss? He's called Panpour.

[Morty's Gengar peers up at Cress from the edge of the table, slowly setting his Litwick up on the surface carefully. She can't really hop around by herself yet, after all. Morty himself is coming along soon, but his Pokémon always seem to be one step ahead. The baby Litwick comes over to inspect the fish Pokémon, unsure of what they are.]

[Cress notices the Gengar, and the Pokemon notice when the candlemon is put up on their table. He lowers his book, keeping a wary eye on it. The ghost he doesn't know well is one thing, but he's well aware of the stories surrounding the Litwick family of Pokemon. They're dangerous, he knows, so while he won't do anything yet, he's not going to look away.

The Finneon sits up, curious about the new arrival. It floats over a bit closer.]

[And Litwick stares back. Really that's the worst thing you can do, she can't steal your energy if you're not paying attention to her. At least, not while she's a baby. Speaking of, her attention span is short so she moves to look at Finneon instead, babbling softly and reaching up for it with her little nubby hands.]

[Gengar, however, will come and peer over Cress's shoulder.]
