[Cress seems to frequently end up in embarrassing situations thanks to the Island, he's beginning to notice. Unfortunately, this one is somewhat self-inflicted, so he can't really complain.
One of Striaton's Gym Leaders is sitting in a library/bookstore/wherever there are books free to read, a magazine in hand. There's actually an instructional book hidden within the magazine, in an odd subversion of the usual scene, but he'd rather not be seen with it. Not that he honestly thinks it will work if someone pays attention, he's just hoping it will spare him one or two extra awkward conversations. Why would it be awkward? Because the book he is reading is essentially something like "FISH CARE 101".
You see, despite being a Gym leader who supposedly specializes in water types, Cress has never taken care of an aquatic Pokemon before, and they apparently don't behave quite like other 'mons. This is turning out to be a problem, since he abruptly decided to try and... expand his team a bit, for certain reasons. Three fish, a Magikarp, a Finneon, and a Feebas are all three flopped down on the table in front of him. They're too bored to even bother floating around in the air. Panpour is having fun climbing on the bookshelves nearby.
Come bug the young man? Or maybe his new "friends"? Or just get the monkey to bring something down for you?]
