[Well, Red certainly didn't go looking for it, but he seems to have stumbled across a playground.

It's got all your typical playground features-swingset, sandbox, plastic climbing structures, complete with a slide and some monkey bars. Even a handful of large colorful water spigotsOf course, being Red, he's got absolutely no idea what to make of

[Red swivels around to look at Gold suspiciously out of instinct, before he can force his expression back to something resembling neutral. He's trying to adjust to people who come out of the blue acting concerned, really, but it's just not normal for him.

He'll shake his head, albeit politely enough. Not going to get sick. He's fine. Because Red's so great at taking care of himself, yeah.]

[sigh] Your clothes are drenched. Just change into a swimsuit or something if you want to play in the water.

[You'll get an odd look for that. Change into a swimsuit? But he's not swimming. He doesn't even do that when he's Surfing.]

[Kris's Pidgeot swoops in and lands on the monkey bars nearby, with Kris following her from the ground. While her attention was focused on the bird, it doesn't take long to be redirected at the surroundings and finally Red, whom she spots after a moment. Oh, it's... Red! And he's... getting wet?

Well.... She gives him a hesitantly cheerful wave. Hi...!]

[Red watches Kris approach, a bit dumbfounded-why is she wearing his clothes?-before realizing it's almost certainly a different Kris than the one he met before. After a moment or so he realizes what she's doing and lifts his own hand to wave back, though the motion seems forced and unfamiliar.]

[she takes that as permission to approach further, which she does so, staying just out of range of the sprinklers. Uh, conversation... talking...]

... ...How's Espeon?

[Red nods, remembering. She'd shown him her pokédex, back when Eevee evolved. He'll slowly take out a pokéball, releasing Espeon, who promptly jumps down from Blastoise's shell to inspect Kris curiously. HELLO OTHER TRAINER WHO SOMEWHAT RESEMBLES OUR OWN TRAINER.]

[The point is that it's ~fun~!

...So fun, in fact, that all of the swings are being taken up by Shauntal's Pokemon. It's kind of hot today, though, especially for Sinnoh natives like her. So she'll just be stripping off her usual gloves and heading over to that water-thingy she saw earlier...!

Oh. Now that's occupied, too. And by such a big Pokemon, wow.]

[Red will peer down from his Blastoise, giving a small nod of greeting, although he's more concerned by Shantal's pokémon than the trainer herself. He keeps looking over to them nervously-it's all of hers out, and only one of his.

If something were to happen.]

[Nod, nod. ...Why are you looking at her Pokemon like that. Shauntal looks between Red and the 'mons playing on the swing, a little confused for a moment. Then she suddenly comes to the "obvious" conclusion.]

Oh! They're ghosts, but they're not the scary kind. They're all very sweet.

[The second she says 'ghosts,' all bets are off. Red doesn't even hear the rest of her sentence-his face immediately goes pale and he scrambles back away from her out of instinct, tumbling down from Blastoise's shell as a result. Agitated by Red's response, the water-type will get on its hind legs, large, grumbling loudly in warning.

And, no, it Does Not Care that Shauntal is ten years old.]

[Hey it's that other you, walkin' by in a daze. He'll stop to stare wistfully at the playground... He probably would have loved it when he was younger.

Then he notices you, have a nod and hat adjustment for a greeting.]

[Red notices his older double as well, warily nodding back. Yes, you have still done nothing to warrant his suspicion. No, that does not mean that he trusts you.

Still. You've made no move to harm him yet, and Red doesn't think you're going to-so that's something.]

[Likewise, Red doesn't particularly trust you. He's willing to be an ally, and he trusts you more than most, but... He wouldn't say he trusts you.

In all honesty though, he'd sooner endanger himself than let you get hit, if you and he wound up teamed up against an adversary.]

... Someone seems to be enjoying himself. [He's actually referring to Blastiose, by the way.]

[Yeah, Red figured. Even if he's being polite, he won't kid himself into thinking that he resembles a person having fun right now.

Blastoise will let out a vague rumble of agreement, not looking particularly bothered by the double's presence. If it were someone threatening, Trainer would be acting scared, and he is not.]

[She notices the kid in the playground, and looks at all the water...

...

Too bad she doesn't like water much.]

Interesting, but this wouldn't be good for my buddies.

[Red inspects Plassica warily, trying to look merely curious instead of suspicious. He doesn't recognize her at all. He'll shrug noncommittally at the statement-he's got no idea who her 'buddies' are, or even if they're human or pokémon.]

[Clearly Plassica doesn't realize all these Reds wouldn't have a clue who she is; including this one. She just looks over at the water all shivering...]

[Red will blink at that, curious and maybe even a bit concerned. She looks cold. None of his clothes would fit her, though, and he's pretty soaked himself...]
