Reasons why life is AMAZING right now:
-summer is over (finally! i hate summer!)
-meaning im back at school!
-my roomate is beyond awesome. i met her monday and feel like ive known her forever.
-i get to see my friends everyday!!!
-im enjoying most of my TEN classes so far.
-my voice teacher Adele is letting me bring back 2 songs: Abendempfindung (a TO-DIE-FOR Mozart song that has gotten me many compliments) and Silent Noon (one of my audition peices that got me into the department, by Vaughn Williams)
-she is also going to teach me how to yodel a little bit, and she was pretty supportive of my ideas for my showtune piece: "wow, you thought this out! you actually have good reasons!" lol
-last night i was singing in my car, and i feel like everything Adele has been trying to get me to do for the last few semesters just clicked. it was incredible. now lets see if it will again the next time i sing :P
-i have been arranging music for the acabellas nonstop, and i am SO happy with how my arranging skills are improving. october 1st is the deadline for all the music! eeeeek!
-i love and appreciate music more than ever. if music was a person, i would marry it and have all its babies.
-Courtney's first illustrated book, Ballots For Belva, is in stores now! Manchester's Public Library has already ordered!!!! WHEEEEE!
-Adam got a job at Microsoft! weeeewooooo!
-Amber and John are getting married a month from Tuesday! GAAAAAAH
-they also got a dog! Hes a rat terrier named Ripley. i met him last night and i cried as soon as i got to hold him. it made me realize just how much i want a dog. more than i thought i did.
-my cousin Ashley is going her have her first baby next month!!!!
-my paycheck on friday will be the biggest ive had ever. lol. im so excited.
-ive never felt so loved in my entire life. im so glad to have the friends and family that i do.
but most of all:
ive never been so happy to be me. ive also never had this much confidence in myself. as a musician, an artist, just as a human being. i know what i have to offer. also, im finally satisfied with my body, which is the first time to ever happen to me. im learning to really love myself.
i could go on and on, this is just the tip of the iceberg.
